Customer Review: Alarm Relay Pricing, Service, and Support
Alarm Relay. GREAT company. GREAT customer service. And of course, GREAT price. I am your average handy homeowner who installed a wireless system myself about three years ago. I bought the system online from what I would consider a poor company called the Home Security Store. Originally getting through to them was like pulling teeth. Bad or inaccessible business hours, long wait times, and just a pain to get help from.
In contrast I found Alarm Relay for the monitoring service. The price was right. I had no problem with providing my credit card for their once a year billing. Happy to receive a reminder of the renewal. The set up was a breeze. The technician was friendly and helpful. Everything was handled on the phone with no glitches at all.
OK fast forward…. Yesterday I had a problem with the system. I pulled out my papers and tried to call The Home Security Store. The toll free number is NO LONGER connected. Their “Store Number” NO LONGER connected, so I got on the web. I found the site. Still there, hum. On their site, it looks like they still sell systems. It seems like they will be happy to take a credit card. But, there is NO WAY of contacting them to talk to a technician!!! All I can say about that is ‘Buyer Beware”.
So I took a chance and called Alarm Relay (fully knowing they are my monitoring company) to see if they could help in any way. What a pleasant surprise!! The sales girl passed me right off to a service girl, Lesley. OMG, She could not have been more helpful. On the phone, she went through several steps to try and verify and identify my problem. About one hour later she solved it. She was patient with me and persistent. My New York attitude versus her California laid back demeanor. I tried her ideas even though I thought she was totally wrong. OK I’m the fool because she was totally right.
I cannot say enough good things about Alarm Relay. My alarm has tripped twice over the past three years. Their response time was appropriate and professional. Their annual monitoring service fees are down right cheap. And, the help I just got for FREE was worth hundreds of dollars (if I had to call in someone else). Untold peace of mind. I am a customer for life. Thank you Alarm Relay. Thank you Lesley (you’re a doll).
