What information may be collected?
As you are probably aware, in the course of our relationship with you, we may collect information from a variety of sources. Without limiting the foregoing, we use Google Analytics, Bing and Alexa to measure Site usage and improve our visitor experience. The relevant data is provided to us by Google, Bing, and/or Alexa in the aggregate (i.e. individual users are not identified) and allows us to better understand our Site audience. By way of example, the Google Analytics features implemented by us allow us (i) to evaluate and generate reports on certain demographic, behavioral, and interest metrics of users collected by Google, and (ii) to create advertising remarketing audiences and campaigns based on such metrics, which may be segmented into aggregated groups. Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings form at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
The Company may use web site “cookies” in the process of compiling the statistical information mentioned above and to tailor certain pages of the Site for your browsing convenience. You have the option of setting your browser to remove, block, or reject cookies, but our Site may not function correctly if you do.
If you engage a service provider through alarmsystemreviews.com, such as a home security company, that service provider may provide us personal or private information about you such as information relating to your transactions with them.

Affiliated entities are within the Consumer Media family of companies, while non-affiliated entities are those outside of the Consumer Media family of companies with which we conduct our activities. We endeavor to choose non-affiliates with similar standards to ours regarding the protection of private information and who agree to use the personal or private information only to perform specific services on behalf of the Company.
The Company generally does not require collected information to obtain access to any area of the Site. However, if you decide to provide personal or private information to the Company, in no case will the Company sell, license or transmit that information to third parties, except as required or permitted by law. Any information that you voluntarily share with the Company in a form is kept confidential and secure.
In addition to the information that is provided to all visitors to the Site, service provider reviews are made available to all users. If you provide a review, the Company may include your first name or first name and last initial with the applicable review. Any other personal or private information you provide will not be shared with other users.

What about communications?
By providing a review on the Site, you are consenting to receive certain email communications from us, including but not limited to information about the Company’s social media sites, offers to assist in resolution of issues with service providers, and administrative notices.
Is the Site directed to children?
The Site is not directed to children. The Company does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you are concerned about your child’s use of the Site, you may use web-filtering technology to supervise or limit access to the Site.
What is Do Not Track?
“Do Not Track” is a privacy preference that you can set in your Internet search browser that sends a signal to a website that you do not want the website operator to track certain browsing information about you. However, because our Site is not configured to detect Do Not Track signals from a user’s computer, we are unable to respond to Do Not Track requests.
How do you safeguard information?
No system for safeguarding personal, private, or other information is 100% secure. However, we take a number of steps to safeguard the security of personal or private information obtained through the Site. For example, our employees are trained to understand the importance of confidentiality and are required to adhere to our privacy policies and procedures.
