We recently bought a house that had a Voxcom system.
Thinking it would be easier to have them just connect the existing system, I called them up and spoke with a rep for about 45 min and set up an appointment for them to come out. A month later they did come, but after 3 hours the installer determined he had the wrong equipment. He advised that the office would phone to rebook. 2 weeks passed, no call. Finally in the third week I get a call to ask if Fridays were still good for me. "Yes" I said and she advised that she would call back with the date.
I asked if I could get an additional motion detector in my garage and she seemed to discourage me as it would be an extra cost. I said I would still like the extra sensor. Three weeks pass, no call. Friday comes along and the installer shows up in my driveway. Don't get me wrong, glad I was home, but wasn't expecting him. Two hours later he tells me that my system has issues and I should just upgrade to the new system, as it provides much better coverage. I advised that was not given any upgrade offers when I first called. He said this other system is much better. I asked if he brought the other sensor, he advised he knew nothing about another sensor. He finally rebooked me for, yes three weeks later. Needless to say after 7 hours with a tech at my house and well over two months, I will not be going with this company.
Please let me know of a reputable company in Edmonton are as the search is still on!!!!
