I first signed the contract with Vector securities in Nov 2007, but they only started charging me in June 2008, so I asked them when my system first worked, they told me in June 2008 because that was the time I signed the contract, which I never recalled! I recalled signing it in November 2007, so I asked for the copy and they never did provide it.
Now, I had to leave the home in NC in March 2009 and called them on what to do with the security system, aside from the fact that it is extemely difficult to get hold of the customer service, they told me they would take care of it. But to date, clearly it hasn't been taken care of since I am still receiving bills. I called them up but nobody would return my phone calls. I tried calling corporate but the lady who took my call said they would return my call after forwarding it to the people in charge, but again, no return calls just bills. I don't think it is fair to keep a customer hanging on to something like "it has been taken care of" which means too many things. I have been dissatisfied for the treatment i got for the last 3 months, now, I have to pay for those services??
I do not know what to do, they will be forwarding it to the credit bureau soon, and it isn't fair for me. I tried settling with them on what I needed to do for the cancellation and I did everything they asked me, for instance, faxing a formal notification to ******, the account supervisor, but then again I receive no return calls, just bills.
It isn't fair as a consumer to be treated this way.
