I signed a 3 year contract with Vector Security in 2005 and was told by the representative that after the life of the contract Vector would continue to monitor but no contract.
I was under the impression after the 3 years that I was just paying for a monthly service. I called to say that I no longer wanted their service and I was told that my contract was automatically renewed. I told them what the rep had told me; I know that I should have read the contract but I was going on what the rep told me. Now I am having to buy out the renewed contract for more than $600. (I had called to inquire about a keyfob and they told me it would cost me $150) I told them that was too much and that I was switching to someone else and that is when it all started. I was told that if I renewed my contract I could get the remote free)
Well, if that is the case, why am I having to buy out a contract?
