I was happy with the initial service provided by Vector. They were curteous and quick with answers. Now however I can get nowhere with them.
Don't be "taken" like I was. I will honor the remainder on my contract, but I have already mailed in my request to terminated service...twice. True to my word, I am now dispaying a Vector sign in my yard. It states, "Secured by Vector {but only until Oct 2010 and never again}"
Here's some advice, try calling your local emergency services dispatcher and ask them who they'd recommend. I now work in a PSAP where alarm companies call to report alarms to the police. I am astonished everytime I deal with Vector. THEY CALL US WITH ALARMS IN OTHER COUNTIES. AT WHICH POINT THEY DEPEND ON US TO GIVE THEM THE CORRECT CONTACT NUMBERS. AFTER WITNESSING THIS TIME AND TIME AGAIN, I ATTEMPTED TO CANCEL MY SERVICE.
BOTTOM LINE...I did not believe they were able to hold up their end of the bargain. What I discovered is, they don't have any legal responsibility whatsoever, to notify anyone, at all, if you have an alarm at your residence.
