Keep in mind that many of these security companies have thousands of other clients that may or may not be happy with their service, and this is only a small sampling of the opinions of their customers. If you have had a good or bad experience with a particular alarm company, please submit your review! Reviews are only edited for vulgar language and spam.
A Canadian alarm company, Voxcom uses a sub-dealer program similar to ADT.  A local company installs your system, and Voxcom will monitor it from their response centre located in Edmonton, Alberta.  Each one of these Voxcom customer reviews have been submitted anonymously by present or former clients.

(Added Nov 16/09) VOXCOM is A JOKE!!! They keep taking more and more money outta my bank account yet I have a credit with them!!! I am contacting the local news stations and getting them in the spot light it's complete *******!
(Added June 10/09) Beware of Voxom's "bait-and-switch" contracts.  They will gladly negotiate a lower monthly rate to have you sign a 3-year contract.  Within the first 6 months they increased the rate.  Apparently the fine print reserves them this right.  Obviously we're not the only ones victimized by these scam artists.  We've notified the better business bureau and written our MP about their practices.  DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT (at least not for more than 1 year).
(Added May 15/09) Stay Away From VOXCOM, they have nothing to do but screwing up customers. Learn from our experience to not sign any contract with this company.  First, because their service is extremely bad and if you are lucky you would only get false alarms to be taken care by them not SOONER than a day after the alarm has happened.  We had to call them ourselves complaining twice when they even failed calling us when the alarm happened. Second, you will be in a great risk to have your credit damaged by their ridiculous 3-year contract.  Once we sold our house while we still had 12 months left on our contract, we thought the new buyers can take over our contract and we are out of the picture.  But we kept receiving their bills until we found that they require buyers to sign a new contract with them for 3 years and since this was not agreed by them, we were obligated to pay their fees for the remaining of the contract.  Even after paying their bill completely, we found that they have reported us to collection and ruined our credit. They are real SCAMMERS not a security system company. Don't be fooled by their advertising.
(Added May 2/09) Thank goodness this was a false alarm - A rep from Voxcom called our 2 contacts and did not get a reply.  She then called the police and gave them our PO Box number as an address.  The police told her they could not use a PO Box # and would not be able to go to our place.  She did nothing after that! False security is what we got! I will not continue with our service contract as they did not perform their obligation.

(Added July 18/08) Consumer beware!  Voxcom contracts are a scam.  I negotiated a better monthly rate to renew my contract.  They increase the rate within the first year of the new 3-year contract!  When we sold our house, I notified Voxcom to cancel our existing service and to send me company information to forward to the new owners.  I also provided the names of the new owners and told Voxcom they were interested in continuing the service.  Think Voxcom would call?  The new owners never heard from them.  Now Voxcom wants me to pay out the remaining 15 months on the contract.  They explain that "because Voxcom makes a large investment in each customer up front, it is crucial that we enforce the terms and conditions.."  I was with them for 5 years prior to the renewed contract!  Now they threaten to send it collections affecting my credit.  Good luck.  Stay away from these rip-off artists.
(Added July 14/08) I don't know if Voxcom is the worst, since this is the first security provider I am using, but it is definitely one of the worst and not to be recommended....(read the whole review)
(Added June 14/08) My bad experience:
- rate increased within my 3yr contract.
- won't accept notice of termination (i.e. when the end of 3rd year reached) by the main account holder via phone call.
- require 90 days prior end of contract for notice.
- auto renewal of contract annually instead of monthly!
- refuse to stop contract even if the phoneline had been cancelled.
- their contract make sure they got the money easy instead of protecting both parties.
(Added May 28/08) Absolute trash of contract service. Nothing better than the gas rate contract companies. They have clauses in the contract which they....(read the whole review)
I have had VOXCOM for the last few years.  My wife and I love them, whenever the alarm has gone off (mostly my fault), the company promptly calls us.  With all the features they offer I don't know why anyone would go with anyone else!  All of our neighbors who have alarms complain about their providers, but I have nothing but praise to give to them.  I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone and everyone!!!!
We recently bought a house that had a Voxcom system.  Thinking it would be easier to have them just connect the existing system, I called them up and....(read the whole review)
