(Added June 29/08) Had ADT monitoring service for 6 years. I changed my land line phone to a VoIP not approved by ADT, therefore I started looking for another alarm service. During this period (3 weeks) between stopping the phone service and canceling ADT there was never any notification from ADT that there was a problem with the system. Glad I switched.

(Added June 29/08) I switched from ADT to Nextalarm because ADT would not monitor my alarm over VoIP. I just had an alarm and Nextalarms monitoring center called within minutes. I had several alarm incidents happen during my 6 years with ADT but never received a phone call from ADT. I am very happy with my switch to MyAlarm (Nextalarm), should have done it a long time ago.

After avoiding the heavy pressure sales tactics of ADT trying to get me to sign a contract for an alarm system already existing in my new house, I found Nextalarm. They easily reprogrammed my system via phone and I could not be happier. Twice I set off the alarm accidently and they called very quickly. I have been a customer of NextAlarm for about six months now and think they're great. They're certainly the best monitoring deal we found and the service has been better than we ever had during our previous contract with ADT. They have cool features that allow you to know when your kids get home from school or when the housekeeper lets herself in that are included in the price. Right now you get two months free although I think I got three when I signed up. I hope I'm posting this in the right place, but I thought some folks might be interested.

The only thing I don't really like about Nextalarm is that when I update my contact list, zone list, etc online it makes my online account unavailable for up to 24 hours. It will give you the message that you will be unable to access your account while the updates take place.

Other than that I'm happy so far. Later this week I plan to disconnect from my broadband and see what happens when my broadband connection goes down.

I've been using NextAlarm for 3 months, so far so good. They respond very quickly, much better than ADT which I had before. Very satisfied.

Just got off the phone with Nextalarm's tech support for my initial setup. Took about 10 minutes..no problems. Worked with my Vonage service without any addition equip. I had ADT with the Safepro 3000. I signed up, felt good to give ADT and their unreasonable fees the boot. So far I have been very impressed with NextAlarm. I have only been monitored by them at this point for a couple of weeks.

Nextalarm has horrible customer service. I have tried on 4 occasions over the past 3 months to contact them via phone and email and have received not one response. I am really glad that I found out how unresponsive they are before I really needed them. Like say in the even my family was being held up or my home burglarized.
