A couple of years ago in April we had a salesman come to our door offering us a great alarm system. We decided to receive this security system for what seemed to be a great deal. Upon reading over the paperwork I noticed that the funds were to be electronically deducted from my checking account. I stated to the salesman that I would like to mail in my payment. He called in his office to get "approval" that this would be okay. It was okay, so everything was signed and set.
Approximately a week later we had your technician come to install our great system. After approximately 7 visits 3 of our 5 phone lines had been snapped and lines were crossed. Meaning that my phone calls were going to my roommate's line. It was a disaster. I called into Alarm One's great "Customer Service" Center and explained the havoc and requested they take the whole system. They stated that.....(con't)

My story begins on 2 April 2001. I too, was approached by a salesman lying...I mean talking about this "great" alarm company. He boasted the best customer service, and the best security. Well, like a total sap, I believed him. The next day, a few technicians came out to install the "high-tech" system.
Approximately two weeks later, one of the sensors fell off of one of the windows. I was not home, so my dog got a hold of it and destroyed the sensor. I called Alarm One to report the problem and was helped by a very rude and surly representative. She eventually agreed to have some technicians report to my home to replace the sensor. Finally two weeks later, I heard from a technician. I called back to the customer service department to explain that I was without service for a month because of this sensor. She told me, and I quote that "because I was in a contract, there is nothing that I can do." I replied with, "basically, I am screwed." She said, "yes." I then asked to speak with a supervisor, at this point, I am yelling at her. Knowing when to shut up and try to make the situation right, she does waive the monthly service charge.

I live in Hollywood, FL I have recently had my alarm system installed by alarmone security systems. It was a good experience, manny the sales guy was very nice and professional. the installation took a bit longer than i would have liked ( almost a week! ) but all in all it was good experience, the installer arrived on time, was very helpful and explanatory. If i had any qualms with them i would say, the time taken to book the installation, and when the installer left he was difficult to reach directly with questions. All in all though This company has my recommendation.
