I am displeased with Slomin's service, the person that signed me up on 8/11 or 12th informed me that I would be signing up for a 1 yr trial basis to see if I liked the system. Even though the contract stated 5 yrs and he marked all this equipment that I needed to have installed in my house, however, the equipment was already in my house when I purchased it.
The technician came out and installed a wire in my bathroom downstairs, my sliding door (which was the wrong one) and put a box in my coat closet, removed my coats laid them on the floor and left them there, plus plugged something in my laundry room socket. However, he claims it took hours to install equipment that was already there. This clearly makes this contract invalid due to false information on my contract installation. The technician had a nerve to ask for another check for 131.47 which had already been cashed. These things were not done so this contract is (voided) and I feel I should not be binded to a falsified contract.
The system went off on 8/20, 21 and 22 and police was dispatched for nothing and I am sure I will be sent a bill if this continues to dispatch policeman and there is not a problem. Another technician had to come out 8/23 to correct the problem, he stated the wrong wiring was put on my sliding door and he put a nail in the door to make it connect to the signal but did not change the wiring to the correct one. This second technician fixed the problem yet on 8/31 I disarmed the alarm system and the #5 was on the key pad and no one was upstairs. Lastly, I just received a bill for the amount of 131.47 yet the bill states I only paid 23.86 which is incorrect I wrote a check for 131.47 and it was cashed. When I called to find out what was going on Patrick informed me that he did not know why the #5 was on the key pad, it could have been a bug or something plus he was rude. So I asked to cancel the plan and he told me it would be 1700 dollars to cancel and I will get me a lawyer first before I give Slomin's 1700 dollars for poor service that I am not pleased with. How can this be possible and I only had the system for 2 weeks he claimed you all have to pay the technician for his many hours of work. He was not working all hours he reported so that was falsified as well.
So I asked to speak with a supervisor and talked with ***** which told me the same information, so I asked for the corporate office stating there has to be something in this contract that protects the customers otherwise this is just a money issue with this company and I know don't any customers renew their contracts because of this. ***** told me I was contacting the corporate office based out of NY and there is no way I can get out of this contract. Yes there has to be away and I hope you all will assist me with this because I am unpleased with the entire process from beginning to now. So I am asking can someone have a heart and let me out of this contract. I am not a happy customer and very displeased with this process. This system has me nervous wreck and a prisoner in my own house. If I move too much the alarm goes off it's unreal.
