Avoid... a complete joke. We were with them for over a year and after our alarm goes off today, we find out that they don't even have our home phone number on file. Our alarm goes off, they contact me and I tell them that I don't know if it's real - NEXT they inform me that they have no number to contact the local police!!!! The agent says, "well, I couldnt do anything anyways even if it was real cuz I can't call them police, I dont have their number".
(they do have our address.. I could google the police faster than this inept company could complain they dont know the number)
Basically I paid for a year of "un-monitoring" as they wouldn't and could not call the police. CSR was clueless - we got kicked up to *** **** who claims to be the General Manager. He tried to smooth talk my wife, and when I got him on the phone and pressed him asking him what sort of liability he thought he was exposed to had I suffered a loss in the past year due to the fact that they weren't actually monitoring my alarm, he became unhelpful. I continued to press him, asking him what he could do to make good on this situation, and he told me that I should cancel. When I asked him if he thought my canceling the service was him helping make good on his company's mistake, he threatened to hang up on me. He then got upset and told me that I was coming at him with both barrels and complained that I was angry. Gee? You figure? After thinking that my house had been monitored for a year and in fact it really wasn't? When I pressed him for his superior's name and phone number, he hung up on me.
I called him back and told him his company was FIRED. I cannot believe I paid this company money and trusted my family, my house and my possessions to their shoddy, half rate service. You may think this is a deal - but it's not. I will now contact my insurance company to make sure they black list these crooks and do not accept them for alarm discounts. BBB complaint will follow along with disputing any charges from them through Visa. BUYER BEWARE!
3 Month Update:
It was not resolved. They continued to attempt to get my social insurance number from me, and threatened to send a collection agency after me even though we had no contract with them whatsoever. The continue to threaten our credit to this day, even though we informed them both verbally and in writing that we were not continuing with their service. Furthermore, our attorney advised us that it is in fact against the law for them to make it impossible for someone to cancel, and for them to ignore legitimate cancellation requests. We are truly shocked at how poorly this company conducts itself and will continue to make sure that all of our friends and coworkers are aware of our experience.
