We were customers of SAFE Security for 7 years.
We paid on time. We had no issues, and no events. We moved in June 2007. We called and notified them of the move. We then received a quarterly bill in Sept 2007. We called and said we no longer live there and had notified them in June. The CSR said, yes she had a record and would take care of it. We started receiving overdue notices. We called -- they said we owe it and would not cancel the service until we were back in good standing. We do not even live there and I now received a notice from a "professional recovery" firm for $481, which, even if you don't side with us is impossible cause the service was only $22/mo and we are arguing over the last 8 months (approx $160).
SAFE has been SOO rude on the phone and about these issues. Obviously they do not care that we moved homes and would still need security and could be continued long-time customers.
I have no theories for this approach other than bad business.
