Run away from this company as soon as you can.
I have been their customer for 2.5 years. Started having trouble with their unit sending false alarms since Dec 2008, I have had 8 false alarms so far and have had the cops come over on 4 of these occassions. The cops have told us that they will stop responding to alarms from our home in future or we will have to pay for their visit. I have tried to resolve the problem with this company all this while and none of their solutions worked, finally when I had one more false alarm triggered yesterday (9/14/09) and the cops came. I thought enough is enough and called PA to cancel the account.
They wouldn't, all they keep talking about is the contract even after I told them repeatedly that I cannot pay for a faulty system, the guy from the cancellation department insists he knows what the problem is and that he can solve it but I have would not take it because that's been the same promise I have been getting for the last 9 months with no solution but after more than 40 minutes of heated conversation, he offers me a buyout where I would pay for half of my remaining contract and he calls it more than a fair deal.. I say it is very unfair but I want them out of my house ASAP so take my money and cancel it.
Here is the summary,
- The system is great as long as it works
- If there are problems then GOD help you
- Cancellation policy sucks and they just won't let you go no matter what
I am switching to a company with a better reputation and whole lot more concern for their customers than the contract.

Nothing positive to report. They took the negotiated contract cancellation money and disappeared. No calls from them after that to win me back.
