I wonder if all of the people who love their service are actually being monitored?

You are required to call once a month to make sure your alarm is being picked up by the monitoring company. You are supposed to check your sensors etc. weekly to make sure everything still works. If you have not called, I suggest you do so now. Read the comments of people who have not been monitored for months at a time and had no idea. Another good question...if people are not being monitored, what are they paying for? If they don't monitor you, will you get your money back? No, because it's YOUR responsibility to make sure your alarm company is monitoring you. What kind of a joke is that?

We are one year into our contract and our system stopped working less than a month after it was installed. It would randomly go off in the middle of the night for no reason, scaring us and our kids half to death, even after we took down the sensors. We called tech support and the cost to get someone to come out and look at it was ridiculous. They tried to walk us through troubleshooting and after all of that the system still does not work. Customer service basically told us it's our baby now and it's up to us to decide if we want a technician to come out to our house for an exorbitant fee.

Even if we could get it fixed, we have no faith in this system whatsoever. The box looks and sounds like it came out of the 80s and the sensors are attached with velcro. The sales people are pushy to the point of rudeness.  We have read the contract and realize we have to cancel 2 months prior (and that is at least 60 days, no less) in order to escape auto-renewal, but we are paying $30.00 a month for a broken down system that cannot be used. We can't afford the police fines for having to come out to our house for false alarms on a daily basis. Contracts are one thing, but PA should at least stand by their product. Instead we're expected to pay another 2 years for a system that didn't even make it 30 days.
