Protect America is NOT a good monitoring company. My security system has been inactive for 6 months and Protect America never informed me.
I have asked them several questions regarding their response time to an alarm and they responded just like a deer in headlights. When I called Protect America to cancel my service they told me that I needed to wait until my 36 month term ended and that I would receive an email notification about renewal. Well, they did not send me the email which will now cost me another year with Protect America. I will be paying another 12 months for absolutely nothing. The equipment does not work and according to my contract my choice is bad credit or pay up for 12 more months.
Protect America is irresponsible and praying on the fact that people do not read contracts. READ YOUR CONTRACT because they would prefer to trap you into another year contract instead of being upfront about the renewal process. If they were upfront at the time of renewal they would not have a need for a Collection Department.
It is a shame that Protect America can trap good people in an agreement even when they are NOT producing quality monitoring or customer service. Protect America is selling GE Security Systems - GE should stop doing business with Protect America until they can CLEAN UP their act and be more responsible to their customers.
