I wasn't even looking for an alarm system. I have 3 dogs. They approached me with a Quid Pro Quo pitch. I get free installation at only a $1 per day as long as I keep the advertising sign in my front yard.
It's not a Quid Pro Quo.
It wasn't $1 a day but more like almost $2 per day.
It's not a 3 year contract but a 5 year contract.
It can't be canceled at no charge.
It does not save you 20% on your insurance.
Then I just found out it's not even setup correctly. I have to contact my local police department to set the monitoring up myself? So I have been paying for something the last 6mo that isn't even working.
Not to mention a supervisor was supposed to come out to ensure everything was working properly and they have yet to come.
Makes you really not trust anyone anymore. All because of Platinum. Thanks for the $55 mo hole in my wall.
I tell everyone I know to stay away from Platinum. They are all a bunch of scammers.
