These guys are terrible.
In May of 2007 they came to my door, said that even though I was switching to broadband phone, that the system would work just fine, they also told me the keypad was similar to ADT & Brinks..(FALSE) on both....The keypad was huge, almost as big as my 19 inch monitor for my computer...and the system wouldn't work with the broadband cable, so I called them...
They said I would have to purchase the cell phone backup for 299$...I told them what the sales guys had told me, and they didn't care...So I've been paying for almost 3 years for a system that doesn't work...I called Monitronics to complain and nothing...
So here it is 7 months away from the end of my contract...I called today to see if it was cancel time yet...Now 2 1/2 years later, they offered me the cell phone backup for free, if I signed another contract....Are u kiding me? They just apologized and said that's the best they could do, but I still need to finish my contract...GRRR!!!
So I have reported them to the BBB (Platinum Protection), and will post a report on Angies list & many forums...Who wants a keypad the size of a small flatscreen tv? I mean good lord!!!
