I am in agreement with those who find Platinum to be dishonest with poor customer service.
I had a system installed in July 2008. I informed my sales rep that I may be relocating and putting the house up for sale and was told that my system would be transferrable should I move. I was not told that I would have to pay 200.00 to transfer my system. After I moved, I called the company to request they move my system to my new home and was then told about the additional charges.
I have spoken to numerous personnel from their customer support department and no one seems to care. I find it out outrageous that you cannot reach corporate. Each time I ask for someone higher than a manager I'm told that there is no one. Who owns this company? I would like to think that the owner would like to know how unresponsive their team is.
I will never recommend this company to anyone! I'm sorry I ever did business with them.
3 Month Update:
Unfortunately there has been no improvement in Platinum's service. I've basically given up trying to resolve my situation. I'm hoping that in July, my system can be moved without any problems, however I doubt it. I have been paying for almost one year for services in which I am not receiving. I applaud those who have been taken care of, but there are still quite a few who have been shafted by a dishonest company.
