I have had Platinum Protection's alarm for almost a year now. 15 minutes after the installer left, my phone rang. When it rang, the phone ring was coming through the loud speaker in the alarm. Very loud. I called Platinum back and they told me that the alarm probably had a crossed wire. They would have the tech come right back out. He never showed. The next day I called them back and told them he did not come out. They assured me that they would get someone out to me ASAP. Nobody showed.
Then the alarm quit working 3 weeks AFTER it was installed. It has a Fault 04 at the keypad and will not arm. This is the Garage Door Entry. The technician had a few problems with that sensor upon the install. Now the Alarm will not arm, the door charm does not work nor do any emergency buttons. The pad is locked down. Again, I called them. Nobody has ever come out to service the broken alarm they gave. NOTE: My alarm that they took out was working; just not monitored. Now I have nothing.
I stopped paying Platinum / Monotronics. After they stopped receiving money, they told me that they could not repair my alarm until I bring the account current. The alarm has not worked for 3 weeks after the install, and the day it was installed it had a phone ringing issue. Now, 3 days ago (11 months later), Platinum has hired an Attorney to sue me for their product that does not work. That is how they do business. It is hard to believe that they are a Member of the BBB......... I do not recommend using their services. If you have a problem, it will not get resolved.
However, on their defense, a few people in our area had purchased their alarm. They have not had any problems. How ever, their alarms were installed correctly. If they should fail, it would be interesting to see if Platinum comes out to fix them.
They haven't fixed mine and are suing me for a service that they could not provide because they can not monitor my house with the alarm not arming.
