Pinnacle Security is based in Utah, but have clients across the country. This is another alarm company known for their door to door sales technique. Pinnacle's monitoring is provided by alarm.com, SAI (Security Associates International) and ADT. Therefore, Pinnacle will install your system, but your alarm will be monitored by a different company. We have had a very positive experience with Pinnacle.
I am sorry to have read about so many negative experiences with them. My only word of advice is that not all sales reps are equal. Some of them are not honest, are not well informed, and do not care about their customers. However, the majority of the reps are very honest, hard-working people who are not looking to scam anyone (but obviously they are looking to make a living).
I will also say this: I think Pinnacle would do well to better train and monitor their sales reps. It's sad that the few dishonest and misinformed reps hurt the companies reputation. Pinnacle will offer jobs to just about anyone, which means "just about anyone" may come knocking at your door.
Just be careful, do your research, and realize that not everyone in the world is honest, but that doesn't mean Pinnacle is a bad company.
