Review For Pinnacle Security (Con't)
Pinnacle Security is based in Utah, but have clients across the country. This is another alarm company known for their door to door sales technique. Pinnacle's monitoring is provided by alarm.com, SAI (Security Associates International, recently bought out by Castlerock) and ADT. Therefore, Pinnacle will install your system, but your alarm will be monitored by a different company. If you have had a good or bad experience with a particular alarm company, please submit your review! Reviews are only edited for spam and/or vulgar language. Thanks for submitting!

I signed a 42 month contract with Pinnacle on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. On Monday, November 28, 2011 I received a call from the alarm center stating my front door had been kicked in. They alerted me that they dispatched the police. When I arrived at my residence the police was not there. I gave the alarm center a call to find out why the police still hadn't arrived. They put me on hold and later came back to the phone and said the police called them back and stated that they were not coming. I asked why and they couldn't explain to me why. They stated that the Lieuntenat at my local police station told them that they only respond to special alarms. I asked what was considered a special alarm. They couldn't define it for me. I took it upon myself to get the name and number of the Lieutenant myself. I gave him a call and left a message for him to call me. Later on that night he called me back and explained to me that my security company (Pinnacle Security) should have explained to me that they only respond to panic alarms.
I stated to the police then what's the purpose of having an alarm system if you all only respond to panic alarms. I followed up Tuesday morning with a Sheriff at the department to find out if they only responed to panic alarms with Pinnacle Security or was it with all companies. Once he verified that information, I immediately called Pinnacle Security that Tuesday morning to cancel my services. I spoke with a csr (Myrna) and told her I was dissatisfied with my alarm services and no longer needed my security system. She asked me why and I explained the situation to her. She told me she would give me a call back after speaking with their licensing department. After several hours I had not heard anything from her so I called back and tried to talk with someone else about getting my services canceled and they told me they would allow Myrea to talk to me since she was the one already working on the account. I asked for her direct number and they stated she didn't have one. They would send her an email to give me a call back and I still haven't heard anything from her and it is Thursday, December 1, 2011. After waiting and waiting to hear from her. I called back early Wednesday, November 30, 2011 to speak with someone else to get my services canceled. I talked with Steve in the cancellation department he had poor customer service and didn't cancel my account after I explained the situation to him. I called back and spoke with Sam and explained the situation to him. I told him as well that I spoke with Myrna on Tuesday to cancel and I haven't been able to reach her since she was suppose to call me back. Sam told me that I needed to fax over the signed contract to cancel my services. I did this why I was on the phone with him to confirm that he received it and he said he did. I sent it on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:29am. Sam told me with his own mouth that it was received. After receiving it he said it didn't make sense for me to cancel because I would have a penalty of $1500.00 to pay because Monday was the last day to cancel. I argued because Thursday was Thanksgiving Day which was a holiday. Saturday and Sunday are not business days which means Tuesday was the third business day that I could cancel in which I called Myrna to do so. I've spoken with Sam, Nicholas, Steve, and Mike in the cancellation department and all have failed to cancel my contract. Mike went as far as trying to trip me up on my words and make me admit to calling Wednesday to cancel and not Tuesday. He also stated that the only way he would cancel my services is if I admit that owe them for 42 months and I wouldn't so he refused to cancel my services. I just want to warn every consumer not to sign with Pinnale Security because their company is a gimmick.
