Review For Pinnacle Security (Con't)
Pinnacle Security is based in Utah, but have clients across the country. This is another alarm company known for their door to door sales technique. Pinnacle's monitoring is provided by alarm.com, SAI (Security Associates International) and ADT. Therefore, Pinnacle will install your system, but your alarm will be monitored by a different company. If you have had a good or bad experience with a particular alarm company, please submit your review! Reviews are only edited for spam and/or vulgar language. Thanks for submitting!

Same sales techniques used here in Indiana. Do not agree to have them install immediately, that is the key. Same bs about "model home" etc...
My current system quit working after 4 years and needed some work so, I let the two salesmen in to see what they had to offer. I work nights so I didn't have a problem with letting them in at 10:20pm. I did mention that it was a little late to be knocking on people's doors and not everybody would be as hospitable as I was.
My first hint that this was questionable was I would get a circular answer to every question I asked. I read everything and signed up for the agreement to install. Of course I read the details for cancellation. I am sure the company does not count on people actually reading all of the paperwork especially with the 2 person salesman tag-team approach. The salesman were nice which is part of the hook. They both assured me that the installer was "close in the area" and would be here shortly. I smiled and said I would watch for him wondering to myself just how long it would take.
An hour later (11:50pm) the installer came knocking at the door. Of course by this time my wife had gone to bed and I told him the alarm panel box was in her bedroom closet and was now unavailable and he would have to come back. I told him that the salesmen said he would be here shortly after they left, not an hour later. He looked perplexed and said he was still in the middle of an install when he got our work order. He even tried to push the install and didn't see a problem with going through somebodys bedroom while they were sleeping, let alone the privacy issues. I appologized for the trip he had to make and told him that I would have to think about re-scheduling.
My instincts told me something wasn't right about the company and I proceeded cautiously all along. I made certain to read the "agreement" and the cancellation policy (located at the bottom of the form). I then found this site with more "negative" reviews than "positive". The key is to delay the installation until you can do your homework. That way your existing system is not destroyed and you have less hassle cancelling. They push a "quick install" for this very reason.
They may be an OK company after the fact, as a few reviewers have stated, but the initial presentation is nothing but a high pressure, head-on, do it now sales pitch to hook and land the fish. A company should be able to sell itself by it's reputation, product, and service and that is certainly not Pinnacle's approach.
