Review For Pinnacle Security (Con't)
Pinnacle Security is based in Utah, but have clients across the country. This is another alarm company known for their door to door sales technique. Pinnacle's monitoring is provided by alarm.com and SAI (Security Associates International). Therefore, Pinnacle will install your system, but your alarm will be monitored by a different company. If you have had a good or bad experience with a particular alarm company, please submit your review! Reviews are only edited for spam and/or vulgar language. Thanks for submitting your review!

OMG, this is one of the worst experiences in my life.
I already had an alarm system in place when we signed the contract with Pinnacle. I cancelled with Pinnacle the next day after it was installed. First, I had a smoke detector, 2 key pads and 2 motion sensors with my existing system, and we talked to the sales person about these. The sales person also showed us a sample of the key pad that would be installed, yet he ordered a completely different one, didn't order the smoke detector, second key pad or the motion sensors. The installer said that would be more money, and that they couldn't use my existing hard wired units. They ended up giving me 2 wireless sensors and a wireless smoke detector unit, but not a second key pad, and they cut the wires on my existing units so I could not use them again.
My husband set the alarm off when he got home and the loud alarm outside never went off because it was never connected, and no one called from the company to find out why our internal alarm was going off. Then we could not set the alarm anymore, so I cancelled.
After being on the phone for over an hour to find out what I needed to send back, I finally got a list e-mailed to me. I could not use the equipment that was already here because they cut the wires. The new alarm company is charging me for the extra's that have to be replaced now.
This was a costly mistake to switch to Pinnacle. But worth the extra money to not be with them. My advice is to look else where, but if you do go with Pinnacle make sure you look over the contract completely, make sure that everything you think you are getting is written down, ask for model numbers, and don't go trust the saleman to be honest, ours wasn't.
