Pinnacle Security is based in Utah, but have clients across the country. This is another alarm company known for their door to door sales technique. Pinnacle's monitoring is provided by alarm.com and SAI (Security Associates International). Therefore, Pinnacle will install your system, but your alarm will be monitored by a different company. We have the Pinnacle/GE Simon in place for several months and really like it.
I had not read any reviews to the bad sales tactics prior to making the commitment. Thankfully, we had a very helpful, sincere salesman working with us. He did seem a little pushy during the first knock/visit. However, he would not make a commitment or talk about the system in detail until my husband was in attendance.
We made an appointment for him to come back at a later date - like a week or so later. During that time, I did confirm that the system and company were legitimate.
Also, during the first introduction, he showed me his badge and was very friendly and polite. After we signed up - he also was very clear that the contract was a 3 year commitment. Only if we sold our home that they would make arrangements for breaking the contract...something like that.
All I know is that my husband and I now sleep very well every night knowing that if something bad happens - we will be notified. As well - we have recommended them all of our friends and neighbors....but only the good sales guy and not the "pushy" one that worked across the street. :)
