My problem is with the supplier of alarms to Next Alarm. The Home Technology Store gave me the wrong system.
I have a large two family home which I live in alone. I use the downstairs as storage for my work and I live in the upstairs. I asked a programming tech there which system could I use and still pay one monthly fee, but have the system armed and disarmed by the upstairs and/or the downstairs using them separately since there is only one address here at the house. They sold me two ABBRA systems and one ABN adapter (to go through the internet). BTW I paid an additional fee for the tech to personally program it so its ready to use out of the box. The tech told me it would be fine and work with one next alarm monitoring fee.
Well now Next Alarm is telling me that I need to buy an additional ABN adapter and pay two monthly fees for the units. This is just upsetting and to make matters worse HTS has basically told me "oh well, too bad" and they won't take their system back even though I have email proof of the system that I had asked for, and their response of what should be purchased to make it work that way.
I don't mind the ABN adapter for another $200 probably after shipping, but I do mind doubling my monthly service fee. I was looking into different systems when I chose Next Alarm because of the ability to have two zoned systems with one monthly fee.
