I am a real customer of Monotronics (not a competitor trying to make you look bad). In my experience with Monotronics, their competitors don't need to try to make you look bad because people like me are doing enough of it with LEGITIMATE CAUSE! Don't try to say that this is the handy work of your competition...you know you can't compete!
I've had the installers (2 separate people) come out to my house 4 times over the course of the last 3-4 months and this piece of garbage system (you SWORE would work with my existing ADT equipment) has YET to work...4 MONTHS! The last installer came to my house at 10a.m. one morning, did some work, left and came back later with some additional equipment. She stayed at my house until 10:30p.m. and finally gave up stating, "I don't know what else to do?" She wanted to stay even longer, but I politely asked that she come back another day...haven't heard from the installers since. They won't take my calls or return them. I got a call asking why I have yet to pay a bill, and the simple truth of the matter is that I'm not paying for something that hasn't lived up to even the simplest of promises! My problem is not necessarily with Monitronics...it's their worthless contracted installers that don't really seem to know how to properly install the systems.
Stick to the bigger, well-known names (ADT, Brinks, etc) to ensure a good experience that allows you to sleep easy at night. I was with ADT prior to a "knock on my door" offering better rates and superior service. I, personally, don't care if ADT is 10 times more expensive! At least they get it installed right THE FIRST TIME!
Goin' back to ADT...chunkin' a deuce and a bird to Monitronics with a crooked grin on my face!
