(Added Jan 19/12) I have had Life Shield for a year now. I have had 3 other alarm companies and this is the best by far. The system has worked without any problems so far. The wireless censors were easy to install and set up. They have a website that you can access your account, view alarm history, which gives you times and dates of arming and disarming, who came in or out, etc... I use my smart phone to arm or disarm the system as well and the system sends text messages to my phone if the alarm is tripped. So, for the money, I feel this is well worth the purchase. From 1-10, with 10 being the best, I would rate it a 9 easy. |

(Added Nov 2/11) Great company. I feel they are one of the better wireless home security companies on the market. LifeShield was so easy to install and I really like the online access to all the features to manage my system. |

(Added Sep 20/11) I have Lifeshield and Love them. I think it is funny that another reviewer was frustrated that they need to wait for 30 seconds before calling you if the alarm goes off..... well, my sister has slomin's and they require that the alarm sound continuously for 60 seconds before #1 calling you and/or #2 being able to tell what tripped the alarm. With LifeShield, I KNOW what tripped my alarm immediately via text message and on the Lifeview web page. It's a shame that I didn't know about lifeshield prior to her getting hers. I could have saved her a lot of money and headache. |

(Added March 9/11) Beware of these guys--- I canceled my service several months ago, but recently received an e-mail asking for updated credit card information. I looked back at my records and realized they'd been charging me despite my cancelation. I've called them three times today. The first time, I was put on hold for 20 minutes. The second time, they hung up on me. |

(Added Nov 24/10) Please save yourself the headache. The main concern above any, is the phone call delay. They have to wait unless 30 seconds for the alarm to continuously sound before they call to check if you're okay! That is insane. A lot can happen in 30 seconds. The equipment has to constantly be replaced. I have had the company since November 2008 and now it's November 2010 and I practically had to get multiple sensors replaced, the base had to be replaced, the camera had to be replaced, and the smoke sensor had to be replaced. I guess that means, after two years the equipment is pretty much worthless. As I speak right now, the camera isn't working yet again! This alarm system may be good for a small dorm or apartment, but not for a full size house! Luckily I'm not in contract, so I'm already checking for replacement. Serious adults with serious protection needs may want to avoid this. Teenagers, and those who just need a siren for less valuable items may look into this company. On a scale of 1-10 I would give this company a 6 or 7. However my family and our home needs a company that I can rate higher than this. |

(Added Nov 15/10) (Updated Jan 19/12) I've had Life Shield Security for about 1 year now and it works flawlessly. They started out as Ingrid Security, then their name changed to Life Shield security of which the service level and quality has never wavered. All sensors and equipment works as advertised and I am very pleased with my purchase 1 year later. We have added a few extra sensors like the water flood sensor, glass breakage sensors and a motion detector. All of which actually work quite well. Also, compared to ADT and Brinks security, Life Shield has a lot of comfort benefits which ADT and Brinks charge higher monthly monitoring fees. For example the internet online monitoring ability, Iphone/Android app monitoring etc. All in all, a wise purchase. Update: My Lifeshield system is still running strong. No issues other than a few batteries in the Open/Close sensors went dead, but CVS + Amazon sell the batteries for only a few bucks each. Other than a few batteries running out, Lifeshield has not let me down. I just ordered the Cellular Connection Gateway for another layer of backup. |
