Recent Reviews For Procom Security: (Added Feb 8/12) We've had Procom for over three years now and are happy to stay with them, even though our contract ran out over 6 months ago. Anytime we've had an alarm, we've received a call within less than a minute, and their installers were prompt, polite, and knowledgeable. We'll be customers as long as we're living in this area. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added Oct 21/11) I have been with PROCOM Security for more than 5 years. I would reccomend this company to anyone that is looking for a GREAT alarm company. They service the alarms for everyone in our family and including our cabin in the mountains. Service calls have been few and far between, but always answered in a very professional manner and with urgency and care to address any issues. I can't say enough good about our experience and felt it was important to tell everyone that you will not be sorry if you use PROCOM for your alarm needs. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have been with Procom for about 2 years. Our alarm is working great. Just wanted to say thank you to Procom Security for the tech support we had on our system after changing phone companies recently. We've had such disasterous experiences with customer service on everything from our windows to the water heater. Procom has been a refreshing break from the norm. We'll be with Procom as long as we have jobs and a house. There were no high pressure sales tactics which I appreciated. All of my questions and concerns were treated seriously and respectfully which is more than I can say about some competitors. I was very impressed with the whole process and the prices are also great. I had a neighbor who asked about which security company we were using and she added Procom to her list of companies to interview. She interviewed a few but also went with Procom and went on an on about how impressed she was with Procom. She had Procom install a system a week later. I have already referred several people to Procom and feel 100% satisfied with my choice for an alarm company! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been with Procom Security for 4 years and we have been very pleased with their professional service. They took the time to teach us about different types of alarm systems. They brought examples of equipment with them so we could see what the different types of devices looked like. They explained that some companies install "all-in-one" systems which are dangerous because a burglar could easily disable the system. They warned that any system with an overly large keypad was likely this variety. The system we had installed is very robust. The control circuits are locked in a steel box in our basement. Because we have an unfinished basement they were able to hardwire the entire system. There are no boxes by the doors like other people I have seen with systems and also no batteries to replace. The system has functioned perfectly. The few times we have accidently triggered the system, we received a call in about 30 seconds. We recently called to ask about a smoke sensor and they offered to add one for free because we were "valued customers" We are 100% satisfied. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good service. I have had service with 2 other national companies and I would not recommend using a national service. This is the first local company we have tried and I like it. We had our system installed about a month ago in August 2008. 2 weeks later we had an issue with a door sensor not working correctly. I called the technician who installed the system. He was at our house within 2 hours to fix it at no charge. With ADT I had to call a call center. They opened a service ticket. 3 days later someone called to schedule the service call. They gave me a 4 hour window so I had to take a day off work. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have Procom Security in our home and business. I recommend them to everyone I know because they provide good service and prices. We have a friends who pay $50/month with ADT. My service is half that price and I think it is just as good. I was concerned at first because I had not heard of them, but since we got service I have seen their signs and stickers in lots of businesses. As a business owner, it is nice to do business with a local company who provides the same good service we try to provide for our own customers. |

Recent Reviews For FTR Security: (Added June 2/10) FTR security was just at my house, they came to my door and offered a free alarm system, I was unsure about a company coming to my door. I researched it and found some negative reviews and some positive reviews. I called them and asked some questions about how the company operates, I was content with everything. They had a rep ***** ********** rearrange his schedule so I could meet with him during my timeframe. ****** just installed the system two days ago and we could not be more satisfied. We got a wireless General Electric system, paid $99 for activation and $42.99 each month for the monitoring service with monitronics. Way good, turns out two of my neighbors have been using the service for over a year. They asked me to write a testimonial for them and submit it to some sites who have been giving them a bad reputation. I feel they offer a great service to the locals and myself who has a vacation rental and my own place here now for 2 years. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added Nov 24/09) FTR selling Honeywell brand monitored by Monitronics security system is bad business. They seek out homes that have security systems installed already so the conversion to their system is so easy for their technician. However when you try to cancel like we did you get no response only recordings that you can leave messages on. Finally got in touch with someone at Monitronics who could not locate any of our infomation on file. How can they monitor our home and not have us on file. Finally, after tons of left messages and e-mails we got them to uninstall the system. They took our transfomer in the process. Refused to replace it and charged us $150 for the inital installation. We were supposed to pay $50 a month for 5 years for what? No service. They even went as far as to ask us to try and sell the system coming out of our home to a friend or neighbor. What a joke. Do not do business with this company. They claim the system is free and that they are giving them away. What they catch you on is the install fee and the monthly. Thankfully we only got stuck paying the install and nothing else. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FTR - Monitronics. You will be sorry. |

Recent Reviews For Elite Security: DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. HUGE SCAM! Here is what I was calling about... I also sent this same message to your CEO. Of course I called him as well.. and he doesnt return my calls... ADT corporate is also involved at this point... I have been lied to by the tech (Jessie) and salesman (Anthony M.) over and over. Where is the integrity? Honesty? Numerous promises. I have 95 text messages from Anthony on my phone. I intend to post them all. "Ill call in a minute".. no call. "Ill be there tomorrow". Not there. "I have this resolved". Not resolved. Promises to call. no calls. Promises to fix things. not fixed. Promises to show up. No shows. When I invited Anthony into my home. I made three points. 1. Smoke and Fire detection is my number one priority. Its a non-negotiable. I have no issue with this at Protect America. If it was triggered, the Fire co. called within 15 seconds every time. 2. I would like Pulse so I can control Thermostats and lights. This was the only reason to switch from Protect America because I was already happy with the fire protection. 3. I would like two way so calls can be upgraded to 911 calls rather than alarm calls. I wanted these three things in that order. His sale was an upgraded panel and 2 glass breaks. I have 2 - 100 pound dogs. No one is breaking any glass... unless they want destroyed. I can buy his "equipment" on Ebay for $300 all day long. Issue 1. The tech assured me that my smokes are in the panel (zones 18 and 19), in fact they are not in the panel. I knew they werent in the panel because I installed Protect America myself and knew what he was doing when he called ADT to make sure all the signals were received... they were not mentioned. on my paperwork he listed them and then discretely drew a single line through them. He said "they are set up like regular window or door alarms" not fire. Another tech would return to resolve this. NOT true. They werent even in the panel. I find out two days later that my Smokes are not even compatible with your Honeywell system. So how could he have even tried to install them. It was a bold faced lie. He is not welcome back into my home. I need two honeywell smokes for FREE that will work with the Honeywell panel Elite installed or you need to change out the honeywell panel for an GE XT and throw in GE glass breaks for FREE and take back your honeywell unit and glass breaks so all this works with my current GE equipment. As long as it works with pulse, I dont care. Issue 2, Shoddy work. The power cord is too tight and pulling out of the AC power unit. The power supply for the translator was not installed. The translator is laying on my counter. Its not even plugged in and is running on battery power. SAY what!! Its day 5! Issue 3, Pulse. The tech said Elite doesnt install the thermostats and that I would need to call ADT for that. They would send another tech out. An ADT tech. ADT denied this. Question -- If the Number 1 reason I upgraded was for Pulse. and Elite doesnt install this... then why would I switch in the first place? I definitely wouldnt switch if I knew I would be without Fire / Smoke protection for a week. Issue 4, Anthony is a smooth salesman but has no ethics and no honesty. He actually promised to buy a fund raising bear ($35) and deliver the money for it saturday at Noon as a way to get my wife to agree to the sale.. He assured her 3x he would be here at noon on Saturday. Thanks Anthony! What a nice guy. He waxed eloquent on how he was going to call his uncle who is the CEO of a Children's hospital and get her a free surgery. He even took a scentsy light bulb from my wife for his wifes scentsy warmer. ALL this theatrics... never to show back up...or call.. When I cancelled my protect america acct. Anthony agreed to show up Tuesday with 1/2 the fee (had to wait for the 3 day cancellation period to expire) (total $400, his 1/2 $200). Did he show? NO. So the way I see it Elite Owes me $235...I have 95 txt messages from Anthony and he has yet to show back up in 6 days. Issue 5, In spite of all these screw ups, lies, incompatible equipment, shoddy installation, incomplete installation, broken promises and an unprotected house... Elite actually put $199 on my Am Ex card. So I have disputed that charge. If this is for the Pulse, Anthony agreed to $99, not $199. Guess that was another lie. BUYER BEWARE --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added Jan 25/11) Do not go with this company. BUYERS BEWARE HUGE SCAM! I am sure I am not the only one who has encountered the sales practice and lies that Elite uses. It is illegal and criminal. I had a very pushy sales rep come to my house. Begged us to put the ADT sign in our yard, since we live on a busy road, after I told him we did not want or need a system he says we just want the advertising. The bill is $40 a month and we will give you a $40 discount. Finally we say ok. I get a bill from ADT, it is double what we were told, and no with no discount. I call ADT, they say I need to call Elite, I call Elite, they say I need to sign up for the discount. Come to find out the discount is this huge hassle where each month you save receipts send it in and wait for a gift card. So I do all the work and wait, never getting a dime. I call the sweepstakes place, I call ADT, I call Elite, and no one will help. I cancel my service after Elite told me they would find out what is going on with the discounts and never did. Elite after a month sends me a collection letter. I call Elite and the girl who was the same girl I have talked to numerous times happens to answer, she tells me I can go to Elite for my home security or pay the cancelation penalty. I told her no thanks I will call the Attorney General's office in Utah which I did and I have also filed a complaint to the BBB, and the State of Utah consumer protection division. I will also be contacting officials in Washington to see how we can put a stop to Elite here in my own state. I am out $50 a month for the last 5 months for something I never needed, used, or wanted. Now I have to pay for 3 years on a contract that they verbally lied about and did not follow through with. These are deceptive sales practices. I am an honest person who pays bills on time. I never once was late paying ADT even though I did not get the discount I still paid. These sales practices are not legal, and I will not stop until everyone knows about them. The rep from Elite Security came knocking on my door and offered to install a camera at no charge if I switched from Monitronics to ADT. He said he would take care of the Monitronics equipment and switch the service over. He also said he would ensure that my billing would be on the day of my choosing. I got billed the next day by ADT, which was the 2nd of the month and I asked for the 18th. Monitronics continued to bill me and when I told them the Elite Security/ADT rep took the equipment, he said "they stole it from you, they had no right to take it." Needless to say, I have not gotten back the Monitronics equipment and CANNOT close out my account with them. Elite security told me they would issue me a credit and ADT continues to bill me and I have NEVER seen a credit, nor have I gotten my equipment back. I think it's time for a police report and a law suit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do not buy an alarm system through Elite Security Services in UT. I signed up for their promotional service about a year ago (received the system for free, signed 3-yr service contract) while a renter. The rep did not tell me that there would be a $199 fee to move the system if I moved within the first year - had he told me this I would never have signed up for the system (again, I am a renter and my lease was up 10 months after I got the system). Now I am moving and have spoken with their "moving specialist" three times (there is only one person in the office that can help in a relocation and she does not get in the office until 4 p.m. each day). In order to move my system they have to OVERNIGHT paperwork to my house, get that filled out and returned, processed and then payment of $199 before they will move the system. The ycannot fax or email paperwork and they cannot process the move until they receive the forms back. Their "moving specialist" has promised to overnight this paper work twice in the last week and I still have not received it. I have three days now until I have to turn over my keys and still, no one else in the office (I have asked to speak to a supervisor three times, and each time have been told someone will "call me back" - no one has) can handle this situation except the moving specialist who gets in at 4 p.m. (after the mail goes out). I am considering filing a complaint with the local BBB as well. |
