Recent Reviews For Security Choice: (Added Aug 4/10) A representative named ****** came to my home this weekend. Upon opening the door she introduced herself and explained that she was not here to sell me anything. Then she began to explain the different plans and asked if I were interested. I politely said, no thank you. As I closed the door she said "you should've said that to begin with". I asked her to repeat herself and she said, "I said, you should've said that to begin with". I was appauled at her sense of entitlement to be so rude and how badly she represents ADT (i.e. Security Choice). I demanded she leave my property and she continued to badger and engage in verbal confrontation. The only resolution to this incident was to call the police department. I am amazed that I would need police assistance to help with a security company since I felt completely unsafe. I will not use ADT and am disgusted that ADT would hire such a volatile and ignorant employee. Greenville SC -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added July 1/10) I recently called ADT to get a survey of my residence, a quote to upgrade my system and start a monitoring service. I found the number of the ADT authorized representative for our area by doing a web search.  It was Security Choice, Fort Mill, South Carolina.   I called the number and at first everything was normal.  The sales rep explained their service and pricing and asked a number of questions about my residence.  He then said he wanted my social security number so he could run a credit check.  I refused to give it to him.  He then said he wanted my credit card number because there was a $99 refundable charge for someone to come and give me a quote.  I also refused to give this to him.  He then asked for my bank routing number which I refused to give to him.  He then told me that if I didn't accept this offer I could not call him back.  He then put on his manager who spoke to me and my wife.  She continued with a pushy, high pressure sales pitch.  We finally hung up on her.  After we hung up I wondered:  If ADT protects me from the burglars, who is going to protect me from ADT.

Recent Review For Platinum Home Theater: (Added March 12/10) Very dissatisfied.  ADT used Platinum Home Theater (PHT) to contract the sales and installation.  PHT led us to believe they were "ADT".  Our system was overpriced, and the installer was rude and arrogant.  When we learned that the contracted sales/service was not ADT at all we contacted ADT and they couldn't have cared less.  We were not happy with the control panel but were not given a choice.  We were not happy with the placement of the control panel but were not given a choice.  We kept having problems with window alarms going off and they came to the house several times but never changed the part.  Only batteries (in a new system) and "tightened a wire".  Still have the same problems.  We suffered through the ADT three year contract and dropped them.  We will NEVER use ADT again.  Myrtle Beach, SC.
