Recent Review For Canadian Alarm Services: (Added June 14/11) I have been very pleased with the great service Canadian Alarms has provided.  The service is quick and reliable and the monitoring station is very friendly and easy to deal with.  Their prices are reasonable and my system came with a lifetime warranty and low monthly monitoring fees.  I would recommend Canadian Alarm Services to everyone.

Recent Review For Fast Link Security: I recently had someone from FastLink Security which is a Canadian alarm company and a dealer for Reliance Protectron come by my house.  They offered me an amazing deal on an alarm system.  I went ahead with it and since I've had it feel much more secure it home.  The system is a really nice system and it works really well.  Also, the sales person and the installer were both very nice and very knowledgeable.  I highly recommend this company as I am very happy with them.

Pasword Protection

Recent Review For Pasword Protection: (Added <Apr/08) We're quite happy with Pasword, the salesman had a "no pressure" approach and the installers were polite and did a great job!  They have a thing called "radio safe", which means if someone cuts your phone line, this radio transmitter thingy takes over, and sends the signal to the monitoring station.  The monitoring is a little higher than the other quotes we got ($25 per month) but it includes the back up unit.  They also have the monitoring station in Hamilton, and I hear it's good to have local monitoring. overall, we're pretty happy with pasword.

Security Concepts (ADT Dealer)

Recent Review For Security Concepts: We recently were approached by a sales rep from security concepts who claimed to be the local authorized dealer for ADT security systems.  We received a presentation from the sales rep but as I would recommend any homeowner to do, I wanted to due my research on this before making a decision like this.  After visiting the companies website and making phone calls to ADT and the London Police Department, I was able to validate Security Concepts as a reputable security company and in fact an offical dealer for ADT.  At this point I decided to go ahead with the offer that I received from the sales rep.  To my surprise we were able to get an installation on my only day off (which was a Saturday afternoon) The technician who arrived for my installation showed up right on time (which not too many service people I find are doing these days) and was very polite and professional and cleaned up after himself throughout the installation.  Later on in the afternoon of the installation we received a visit from the sales rep who sold us the alarm system.  He had stopped by to make sure everything was going alright with the installation and to show us how to operate the system as the installer was finishing up.  My experience with this company was five star from start to finish and to show my appreciation I am writing this review to let other local homeowners know of it.

MHB Security (ADT Dealer)

Recent Reviews For MHB Security: (Added July 4/11) Just had an ADT Security system installed through MHB Security.  It was a pleasant experience getting it through them since they had a professional sales manager come and look around our house so he could design the perfect system to suit my family needs and that would also be within our budget.  We signed up withhim the same day to save our promotion. Surprisingly one of their packages online  was the best for my house so I did not have to pay anything overtop.  I also got an upgraded free 4 button remote for my wife since the sales manager thought it was a must for her but we couldn't really afford to pay anything except the monitoring cost, so he added it in for free.  The installer was very nice and professional anddid a neat and clean job. Overall I would recommend MHB Security to those looking for a security system. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No problems with ADT corporate at one of our stores.  But we were thinking of going with MHB Security for our two other stores.  After two days of not responding to two emails I had sent them, I called them, got a somewhat rude operator who said he'd forward my email to the proper people.  Not too pleased to say the least.  I might just stick with ADT corporate for the other two stores, even if they do charge a bit more than MHB. Update: We just ended up going with ADT corporate for our other two stores.  MHB just left a bad impression on me even though another of their reps emailed me info on their pricing.  So far so good, no problems with ADT corporate with these two stores either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I live in Mississauga, last month, I got my alarm installed by MHB Security.  The sales person was very knowledgable and he designed the very best system for my home. Their installer was very professional. I had called ADT corporate before but their quote was expensive then MHB, so I decided to go with MHB for my system. I saved a lot of money. I also referred my 3 friends to MHB Security and MHB paid me $100 for each customer. I will definitely recommend MHB for ADT system. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have had ADT monitored system through MHB Security  since I purchased my home 7 years ago.  It was professionally installed by MHB security "ADT largest dealership" Well yesterday it all paid off.  My house was broken into around 4:30 in the afternoon, the alarm went off, ADT called the house phone and also called me on my cell phone.  They dispatched my local Toronto police.  The thieves were scared off by the alarm or the quick response of the phone call from ADT and they left the same way they came empty handed.  I am thankful for their quick response.

They give you a free battery if you bring your old one back. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added Jan 12/11) Never hire Kodiak Securities to install your alarm system or monitor your home. They are an Ottawa based company and it is shocking that they are still in business. Their service is terrible!!!! The alarm system was not properly installed and took months for the job to never be fully completed. The owner of the company is rude, vulgar and verbally abusive if you complain about the service. For a locally owned company they do not care about their customers or their reputation. There is no accountability for their poor service and their technicians are unprofessional and do not know how to properly install alarm systems (including wiring and all components). Save yourelf the headache and stay clear of this company and it's employees! Do your friends a favor and pass on the word!!!!

Recent Review For Emerald Alarms: (Added Sept 18/09) I had a rep call me on the phone and tell me he needed to make some changes to the alarm box in my house.....I said okay...I was busy but home.  He spent a good half hour at my house making phone calls and programming numbers into the box.  I told him we did not use the alarm system anymore because the program didn't work for us.  When he was finished....he came to me with papers.  I was in the middle of baking 3 cakes and had not a single spot on my counter.  He pushed some things aside and gave me a pen and papers to sign.  I assumed these papers were for the reprogramming he had just done on the alarm.  Not once was I told that what I was signing was a 3 year contract with the company!!!  NOT ONCE!!!!  We had always paid by the year and yet we had called and cancelled our service the previous year because we couldn't use it anymore!!! Two and a half months later....I get a bill in the mail saying we are late on our payment.....of course I had no idea what they were talking about because I was never aware that I had signed a 3 year contract!!!  I was very mislead......even after saying we didn't use the system anymore!!!  When I called to speak a "customer service" representative.....she would not come to the phone.  I asked if there was anybody with whom I could discuss my problem and they basically said you signed a contract....your obligated and there is nobody who wants to speak to you!!!!  They have my money....they don't care how they went about getting it.....and I feel very swindled!!!!

Recent Review For Security One Alarm Systems: (Added Jan 9/12) Very nice people, but unable to service non-working equipment. Installed a wireless system in an area with poor cell coverage. After failure, tried to wire into landline. Did not work. Unable to install fire and low temp alarms. Promised to return and fix three weeks ago. After two no-show return appointments, have not heard back. Appealed to both local franchise and national HQ with no response. Probably good service if no complications, but not if something doesn't work right. Two months and still no security service of any kind.
