Recent Review For RSI US Alert: (Added <Apr/08) I have been with RSI US ALERT located in ADA, OK, for around 7 years. The few times I have tried to contact them, it has been very difficult to reach someone by phone. When my system began having problems, and battery failure, I called and asked for someone to check my system. I was told someone would call me to set up an appointment. I waited 2 days and no one called. I called back and left a message, and no one returned my call. The third time I reached someone, and was told that I didn't leave my last name (I don't believe so), and that they had written down my number wrong and couldn't return my call. I also told her that my system had been down on two different days, and that I never received a call. The customer service rep said "that never happened". Although, I never intended to cancel my service with RSI US ALERT in ADA, OK., I just told her, I was tired if the excuses - she interuppted me and said "these are not excuses"- then I said I just want to cancel. She then said "fine", let me get your file. It went from bad to worse, when she insulted me. When I asked her "what did you say?" several times, she kept on talking, saying someone would be contacting me and hung up on me. That someone finally contacted me 4 days later, and then asked me why I wanted to cancel, that they hated to lose me as a customer. I told her that there was nothing at this point that could be done... Bad customer service relations and bad monitoring service, if they were monitoring my system at all. I then checked with the BBB, and they have an unsatisfactory rating. |

Recent Review For C&W Security: (Added Jan 15/11) After my husband and I moved into our first home in November of 2009 we were contacted by C&W Security to interest us in transferring the previous home owner's security service to our name and sign a contract with Guardian Security. Since all of the equipment was already in our home we decided to transfer the contract. Shortly after we had the security service we quickly noticed it was not going to work out. We have two large dogs and one (who is now gone) had a very high bark. Although we were assured by C&W that they would not set our motion detectors off they still did, repeatedly. We received numerous calls from Guardian that either our glass break sensor had detected something or our motion sensor had. After having C&W out to our house multiple times and having the motion sensors replaced we continued to see the same problems every day, receiving calls from Guardian. So we decided to call it quits. C&W allowed me to "cancel" my contract and that was that - or so I thought. I noticed a few months later that the payment was still being taken from my account so I called C&W and, so conveniently, the salesperson that had "cancelled" my account no longer worked for the company. After hearing this I decided to call Guardian, who had never seen any paperwork regarding my cancellation (which they don't even allow). I demanded a cancellation or for someone to fix my motion detectors. They refused to let me cancel and said I would have to pay for a technician to come out to look over my motion detectors (on top of missing work to do so!). I had exhausted all of my options to cancel the account and just decided to ride it out for my three year contract. However, recently my husband has begun to use the alarm again (since we are paying for it, after all). We are seeing the same problems as before with the motion detector. Guardian has decided to offer me a one-time no-charge visit from a technician to come look at our motion detectors, however if it does not get fixed the first time we will have to either pay to have them come out until they are fixed or not use the motion detectors. I was told by one of the techs that it is "not their problem" and "motion detectors detect motion" - duh. Needless to say I'm very fed-up with the way this has all been handled and would most definitely not recommend anyone ever use C&W Security or Guardian Security for their home security needs. After just a few conversations with Guardian it is quite obvious they are heavily lacking in their customer service department. |

Recent Reviews For Globelink Security: (Added Jan 16/12) I spoke to GSS this week and they asked that if I was happy with the service to submit an internet review. After I thought about it I have to say that I've been a client for over 10 years. My service calls are efficient, the staff is friendly (after 10 years I work with the same techs and staff), they call fast when my alarm goes off and I have always paid the same 12.99 per month (I've never had a price increase in over 10 years). The local family owners live down the street and they always remember my name when I see them in the grocery store. They are a nice young family. Keep up the good work. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added Nov 18/11) I switched to GSS $12.99 alarm monitoring because I was tired of my existing company raising my alarm rates. I was referred by my neighbor whom has been with Globelink Security for over ten years and has never had a rate increase. The bottom line is that I get better coverage at half the price. Service and alarm response is very fast. I have referred my parents, children and people from our church. Thanks for the great service and a great rate! P.S. The alarm agreement was simple to read and gave me some great guarantees. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added June 14/11) As promised, I wanted to tell everyone that Globelink Security is a cool company to work with. Simple and efficient. I shopped 5 companies when I bought my home and they outperformed on every aspect, especially price. Don't even waste your time calling the other guys. A great company with rapid fire monitoring. I am spreading the word. Ask about the referral program they offer. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added July 11/10) On my way home today around 12:15 p.m., I received a call from Globelink Security advising me that my alarm had alerted them to a possible break-in. Since no one should be at home at this time, they called the police. They told me that the police should arrive in approximately five minutes. Upon my arrival, I discovered the front door was open and Globelink Security advised it would be best not to go into the house until the police arrived. In about 20 minutes my cell phone rang and it was Globelink checking to see if all was okay. I advised them that the police had not arrived but that I would like to go into my house. They so kindly stayed on the phone with me during my entry and while I checked out the house. They also were kind enough to make the call back to the police advising them it was a false alarm. I just want to say thank you to the phone attendant and to . It would have been very frightening if I would have had to go into the house alone. It was a comfort just having someone on the phone with me. I truly appreciate the service you provide us. Sandy --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added Apr 12/10) I know what our experience is in dealing with this company and it is not good. I don't view them as an ethical business at all. After our experience, I started to check them out and found 18 complaints filed with the BBB. There are a lot more that aren't filed on sites like this. You should check them out before dealing with them! And read the fine print!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added <April/08) We live in Oklahoma City and have used Globelink Security for years. However, when we called to see when our contract expired, they indicated they had just renewed it for two years a few days ago. We do not believe that it is ethical, nor do we find it satisfactory for anyone to renew a contract without first notifying the other parties involved. We consider this a SCAM and certainly will never renew again, and will complain to all appropriate sources that allows this this type of contract. It is not always convenient, or easy, to remember when to send the required written notification for cancellation... I'm sure their business software automatically reminds them when to hammer us right into another contract without letting us know. Shop elsewhere. |

Recent Review For TNT Security Services: (Added May 7/10) We use TNT in Tulsa, Ok for my Mom's house. They came out and set up as promised, on time and cleaned up afterward. When I had questions they answered promptly, came out and repaired a motion detector that had problems. When I wanted to make small changes to the system - add 1 more motion sensor and put in a temperature alarm in case the power went out and the temperature in the house droped to low, they figured that out and installed all at a reasonable price. I have referred them to friends who have also been pleased with the service and the price is very reasonable. they are locally owned and so far have been Great. If I set off an alarm - they are calling me before I can get to the phone. We are more that pleased with their service - especially after reading other reviews. Just wish we could find someone this good in CA. |
