| Marshal Protective Agency |
|
Recent Review For Marshal Protective Agency: (Added May 27/10) They are not well known but very good. They use their own people to respond to alarms and then verify to the police. Their systems are top of the line, and are used by banks, museums, government, etc. Not rinky dink systems used by most providers. Slightly more expensive than the "Big Three" companies but if you want to be protected like Fort Knox they are worth it. |

Recent Review For Defender Security Company: (Added Dec 26/10) I installed ADT security system recently. I have received alarm call every day at same sensor, but all were false. I called the service, I waited almost half day and no one answer. I got finally appointment of service today 8:00-9:00AM. But we wait until 9:45, no one show up. We call the service. Answer was that technician will come 10:40AM. What is the ADT system quility and service?? I paid almost $2000 to installed the system. It is a trap!! |

Recent Review For Power Alarm: (Added Apr 21/10) We are on our 3rd house and Power Alarm has been the best. Once they put the systems in they just work. With dogs and kids we have had several false alarms and they always call or send the police if we did not answer our phones. My parents have used them since 1986 and still do. VERY Impressed. |

Recent Reviews For American Security Alarms: (Added June 12/08) My situation is identical to the other comment listed for American. In their defense they did let me opt out for a fee. Unfortunately, that fee was about 25 dollars less than the total for the remaining year and a half of service on my automatically renewed contract. Whats amazing is how quick they are to make personal contact if you start making payments late ;) This seems to get their attention. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added June 3/08) Signed a five year contract. Company automatically renewed it without notifying me of the 30 day "opt-put" window for another two years. Now the company won't let me cancel without being liable for the balance of the two years. Company continues to tell me to "pound salt" even after I have attempted to mediate using the attorney general's office. Attorney General's office has numerous other complaints related to this company. *Update: (Added Sept 19/08): The status is the same and actually worse. After reporting the situation to the State Attorney General's Office their investigator has become frustrated and given up. I continue to be billed for service that I haven't used in five years now and at a stalemate between myself, the AG and their attorney. There have been numerous filed with the AG against this company, some of them have been resolved but many have resulted in small claims court. They have no interest in resolving consumer complaints and would rather hide behind counsel. |

| State Alarm |
|
Recent Review For State Alarm: I thought all alarm companies were the same, but guess what they are not. I let some big shot sales guy talk me into a three year contract. Since the day of the initial install I have had nothing but problems. The initial install, the installer did not speak a word of English and he mounted my numeric keypad crooked, and come to find out that was not the only thing crooked. We agreed upon a price initially and then they tried to bill me more, then they sent my note to the credit bureau. Next time, I will go with a national company. |
