Recent Review For Guardcom:
(Submitted July 18/08) My wife and I recently purchased a home in Maine, and decided to get an alarm system for burglary protection. Our neighbor recommended a company in Bangor called Guardcom, and so far we are very pleased. They use a cellular system called Alarm.com which sends signals to dispatchers by radio and not by phone. This feature was important to us, since we use Tracfones for all of our calls, and do not have any landline phones installed in the home. The other thing that we like about this alarm company is that they did not require us to lock into a three year contract. The only commitment was for the first 3 months. We don't plan to cancel anytime soon, but it is nice to have that option if we want to.
