Recent Review For Price's Alarms: Dealing with Robert Blouin (Duncan Branch of Price's Alarms) was a refreshing change. After being approached by high pressure sales types in the past to finally have someone take the time to explain why a so called free basic system really isn't all it's cracked up to be. He firmly believes that protecting people is the priority of any security system, protection of possessions naturally follows. Hopefully you accept reviews of individuals in the industry and not just the company. It is the individual who makes all the difference. If you are only going to post this as a Price's Alarms review without mention of Robert, please do not use my review. Thank you.

Securco
Recent Review For Securco: Securco does not sell you a free system so long as you pay for monitoring. In my opinion this is the best way to go. When looking to secure your home or business you must think of your needs and not your budget. First determine who will be using the system, the type of risks you wish to protect and the type of emergency service you want from a supplier. Buy your system. Learn about your system. Never sign a lengthy contract - and read the contract. Pay for your monitoring to go with your system. These are two seperate issues. Your security system is their to protect your home or business. The local alarm is your first defense and may bring the first response. The monitored alarm is going to do nothing other that alert you and the authorities after the fact, unless it is a fire or medical emergency, police response will be slow. Also, many policing agencies do not respond to a single zone intruction signal. They will need at least two. E.g. window and motion to determine the type of response.

Bright Knight Industries Inc. (Protectron Dealer)
Recent Reviews For Bright Knight Industries, Inc: (Added June 2/10) I got my new alarm system from Protectron's Rep ****** ******. At first every thing looked okay. I paid first payment through check and then company started withdrawing from my bank account. After 3 months I received a notice from the company telling me that I owe them first month fee. The check was cashed from my account. I called the Rep, but there was no response. I told the company that I have already paid. This company has a very bad customer service. I called them almost each day of the month told the rep story they insist I should contact selling Rep myself. At last in the month of Nov, 2009 I was able to get hold of the rep and in Dec, 2009 he accepted that company made mistake deposited my check in Bright Knight account and as Protectron was deducting money from my account he told me that Bright is going to take care of my alarm fees for next 6 months. But this never happened. Protectron is constanly sending me invoices now an amount of $250. Last night May 27, 2010 the rep called me after I contacted the Bright Knight head office in Vancouver and told me that my account will be taken care of and he will contact me May 28, 2010. No one has contacted me yet. If you are looking to get a monitoring system from this company "Protectron" or any of their sub dealers, my advise plaese don't. This company not worth your trust. They will not help you sort out problems. One time Alarm system goes off they never called police. Why to acquire a system which is not helping.
