Recent Reviews For United Alarm: (Added Sep 17/11) I purchased and my equipment and was surprised when I rec'd more equipment charges than was told up front for a smoke detector I didn't order.  After one year I changed to a better priced monthly supplier and was shocked to see  bill for 2 more years monitoring and another bill for my equipment. I had not contracts with them and had to hire a lawyer at my cost to get rid of them. The only thing I  can say is wow! I mean you call they answer right away and fixes  your troubles on the spot without having to wait a week for a  response unlike ADT which you call and wait thru a series of  automated numbers on which I really feel unsecured for a price thats  not even the half of what United Alarm offers. Great value and  Greater Service. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added <Apr/08) I had signed up with United Alarm back in 2003. There were a few situations where my home alarm was triggered  but there was no phone call to my home which is pretty scary if a  real break in was to occur.  Anyway, six years later I contact them  to upgrade my security system and they decided to charge me an arm  and a leg to add one motion sensor and two door contacts. I told  them that I had been with them for 6 years but they didn't even care. I switched security companies now. For those that are with this company please beware. Make sure you tell the customer service rep that you want the police to be sent out rather than a guard.

Recent Reviews for City Wide: (Added Dec 13/11) Installed 2 weeks ago.  Installer drove 2 hours to get here, did not have proper system.  Came back week later.  Could not answer all my questions.  Called number on system.  Referred to 7 different numbers.  Problem with system and given reference number.  one week later, still no response, however they are very quick to call to see if I am insterested in getting a system installed.  obviously records aren't updated.  PO'd that contracted out to a city 2 hours away when there is a company in my own city.  what's up with that?

Recent Review For Canadian Security Systems: (Added Sept 11/10) Canadian Security Systems took the time to educate me on where the most likely entry places would be, and where devices should go. They put their cards on the table and explained what I would pay for equipment, and what I'd pay for monitoring. They explained what "free" alarm systems really are, and why they don't agree with it. Service is always prompt and friendly, and the service call rate isn't bad at all. I recommend them to anyone!!
