Guardian Protection Services is considered a super-regional company, concentrating its work in the following areas: Phoenix, Arizona; Delaware; Orlando and Tampa, Florida; Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; southern Maryland; North Carolina; western New York; Ohio; eastern and western Pennsylvania; Raleigh, South Carolina; Texas; northern Virginia; Sheboygan, Wisconsin and the panhandle of West Virginia. They use a subdealer program, which means an independent contractor (or "sub dealer") will install your alarm system, and Guardian Protection will monitor it from their national monitoring center. If you submit a review, let us know the name of the local company that installed your system. It is also important that you note the logo on the right, to ensure you are submitting a review for the correct alarm company.

Please note the fact that a large number of companies in the security industry use the word "Guardian" in their business name. Our respondents may or may not be referring to "Guardian Protection Services, Inc".
I recently purchased a new home and as a first time home buyer I wanted to get an alarm system installed, just so I felt secure in a new home and neighborhood. The house I purchased had an existing ADT system so originally I thought I'd just sign up for ADT but after looking at reviews I decided I wanted to find a different company and a cheaper price.
So I called Guardian Protection Services and set up a date to come to my new house and look at the system. After having to cancel my appointment because of my closing being delayed, I finally set an appointment and met with the rep. The rep was very friendly and said that GPS could take over the system free of any charges and they would also give me 6 months free monitoring and a free key fob. So I told him I wanted to read the whole contract before signing (he told me to take my time) and it clearly said it was for 60 months and I was fine with that so I signed up.
When Guardian came to turn the system on the existing ADT system was fried as they could not turn the siren off. So they had to order a NEW control panel and keypad. Long story short, the new parts came in and they came to the house, installed the new equipment and did not charge me for anything. So several weeks later, I could not be happier with Guardian and would recommend everyone call them.
The basic monitoring is $26.95 a month but if you give them bank account and routing information, they give you a dollar off so it's only $25.95 ($10 less than ADT). I will be staying with guardian for years to come.
