I sent the letter below by certified mail. At this point, after reading other complaints I am not sure who is monitoring my system. Getting thru to Firstline is nearly impossible. Alarm Services is only interested in collecting money for a system Firstline installed but does not work. I have called Alarm services but if anyone can give me an address for Alarm Services I would appreciate it. The Utah Division of Consumer Protection has contacted me and is sending information.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to dispute the alarm system monitoring agreement made on June 16, 2007 and consequent charges. On June 16, 2007 I made an agreement for an alarm system with a sales rep that came to my home. That evening around 9pm another rep came to my home to install a new panel (my home was already wired from a previous system; I do not know what the rep did with my original panel). He spent about 30 minutes installing and explaining the system. I told him I superficially understood the system and I was told that another rep would return in a few days with lawns signs, door stickers and to better explain the system. This never happened. Repeated calls to Firstline assured me a rep would come to my home. Again, this never happened.
On July 30, 2007 I received a new agreement in the mail from Firstline with a letter stating the original agreement did not pass the auditing process. At this time after 3 weeks of trying to have Firstline fulfill their promise to send a rep to my home, not getting the system to work properly, discovering the wiring in the control box to be in shambles and receiving a new unsigned agreement it was apparent Firstline did not hold up to their part of the agreement. I had no further communication with Firstline.
Almost a year and a half later on October 14, 2008 I received a letter from Alarm Services stating my account was 3 payments in past due. I then contacted Alarm Services and explained the situation. I offered to pay for any equipment installed in my home but I am no longer interested in Firstline's monitoring services considering their complete lack of service, over a year lapse in the agreement and the fact that I have an unsigned agreement in my possession.
I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau of Utah, the Utah Division of Consumer Protection and the Pennsylvania State Attorney General.
