This letter is to complain against Firstline Security. The Security system was sold to me from a door to door sales people on June 13 2007, using misleading information with the intention to sell the system on behalf of their company for promotional purposes, due to the location of my house.
What I see very unprofessional is to send sales people out to the streets to deceit a potential customer in order for them (the sales people and the company they represent) be able to do business and make profits without any remorse and worse yet, catching their clients with lies and promises of a service was not intended to provide, other than what the alarm system is for. I feel extremely disappointed the systems those sales people are using to scam the potential clients such of " The neighborhood two blocks down the street has had robbers breaking inside the houses and you should be protected, just in case", or " Your house is located exactly in the place where our System Alarm Company could be marketed for promotional purposes, make sure the Security sign is always posted in a visible place outside of your house, because this is a contractual agreement once you have our Security System in place", another scam was, "Do not tell your neighbors that your Alarm System was free of charge because then everybody else would try to get it for free".
That particular day, June 13, 2007 was a very hot day and the weather was not helping the sales people from Firstline, who seemed to be tired of trying to sell their service they were offering from door to door without any luck, until they get to knock on my door. They were two young gentlemen, and unfortunately, I only have the first name of one of them, his name is ****** and his phone number he left in case of any questions. They were selling the alarm system that particular day in my neighborhood and according to them; some of my neighbors were unfriendly with them to the point that they felt threatened where at some point they decided not to keep offering the security system in the area nearby my house.
They did not have any chance to eat during the day and seemed to be hungry, because they asked me what I was preparing for dinner and gave me some indication they were ready to be offered something to eat. It was around 5 p.m. when they were at my house offering the alarm system. They were offered something to drink and were given a couple of beers to each of them to calm their thirst, and right there I thought about it as a very unprofessional conduct which is consuming alcohol during working hours. Then, they proceeded to offer the alarm system using those scams I already mentioned before.
I consider myself as a very responsible individual and I also accept my mistakes. My part of responsibility by not being fully aware of their intentions and not carefully inspecting a contract before to sign it would make me to continue the contract as such, because I assume what I signed, with or without scams. What made me very angry at Firstline Security is the way the SAI Billing Process is using to collect the money owed to Firstline. Although SAI is working on behalf of Firstline Security, the inconvenience was already made and the frustration is still lingering due to the sales process and the billing problems created by an inaccurate billing that SAI is providing in behalf Firstline Security System. IF THIS UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE MAY HELP OTHERS TO AVOID INCIDENTS OF THIS NATURE TO HAPPEN TO A POTTENTIAL FIRSTLINE CUSTOMER IN THE FUTURE, I WOULD DO SO. I then would be able to manage my finances without any "billing errors" to deal with and unprofessional sales people using scams to sell their services.
