Firstline Security is one of the larger "sub-dealer" alarm companies. That means if you become a Firstline client, your system will be installed by Firstline, but monitored by a different company. Depending on where you live, you could be monitored by Alarm.Com, Monitronics, or Counterforce.

Firstline is a rip-off sales company.
We were approached first by a sales rep telling us that we could have a free alarm system put in (pay only the monthly charges) if we would submit to a sign in our front lawn. During the installation the tech asked us if we would like the smoke alarm and motion detectors put in. I, of course, agreed. No mention was made that I was to be charged for any of this. Three months later a $400 charge appears on our bank statement.
When I called "customer service" I was informed that I signed the contract and there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak to a manager and I was refused. The representative continued to stonewall until I requested to speak to Cancellations. There I was informed that to cancel I would be charged an early cancellation fee of 75% of my remaining contract or a total of over $600.
This company is dishonest and should not be trusted.
