Firstline Security is one of the larger "sub-dealer" alarm companies. That means if you become a Firstline client, your system will be installed by Firstline, but monitored by a different company. Depending on where you live, you could be monitored by Alarm.Com, Monitronics, or Counterforce.

Absolutely a dishonest company. I was told they were associated with GE. They are not and never have been. GE denies having any business association with this company.
When the system was installed all kinds of added costs were presented. The system was marketed as a "free installation" as long as we "advertised" with a sign in the front lawn. Later we learned that monthly fees would be forthcoming...after the system was contracted.
Here is the real "shady" business practice. At no time were we informed that Firstline would sell our account to a third party. That party has been impossible to contact. Finally, a registered letter was sent promising legal action if we did not hear back. We did, three months after the letter was sent. The system has worked and we use it everyday. We may be one of the lucky parties. I will discontinue service the day the contract expires.
Firstline gets plenty of free advertising from me as I work for a large corporation, give numerous workshops monthly and I always have a "Firstline" story for the audience. I enjoy this practice and I provide it at no charge.
