As I read these reviews, I wonder how many of them are legitimate customers. I'm willing to bet that 75% of these reviews are from salesman or employees from other alarm companies.
I own an alarm company and I've been an authorized dealer for Central Security Group for almost 2 years. If Central Security Group actually treated their customers like some of these people say, I think I would have heard about it from one of my customers. If you don't do your homework and research the company that is installing your alarm, then you have nobody to blame but yourself.
Just because they're an authorized dealer doesn't mean that they know what there doing. This industry needs to be regulated better than it is and the technicians should be licensed and should have tested on the different types of alarms and the companies who manufacture the security equipment that being installed.
I feel bad for the people who are taken advantage of by these companies that shouldn't be allowed to do business. If you're interested in getting an alarm for your home or office, research the company, check with the BBB, make sure the company is a licensed contractor, licensed-bonded-insured, licensed in the city where you plan to have the alarm installed, DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND ASK QUESTIONS!!!!
Don't sign a contract with some guy who knocks on your door and has a so called technician with him who wants to install the alarm at 9:00pm. In the state of Arizona, you don't have to be a licensed contractor to get an alarm business license from the city of Phoenix, etc. If they would stop giving licenses to anyone who pays the fee and a set of fingerprints, It would shut down a majority of these companies who currently claim to be security companies.
Central Security Group doesn't travel from Oklahoma to install the alarm in your home or office. The company that installed the alarm is the one to blame. If you had an experienced technician who used name brand equipment and installed the equipment correctly, you would of never had to contact CSG to try and resolve the issue. Don't blame your monitoring company unless they don't call when the alarm goes off (test system monthly), or they mess up your billing. In two years I've never had a customer contact me and tell me a horror story like the ones I've read in this forum. There are good alarm companies out there, you just have to weed out the bad ones. I've been in this industry for 13 years and I've worked and installed alarms for all the big name companies. Central Security Group is top notch! You would be shocked If you knew what really goes on at other monitoring stations and how easy it is for technicians to fake signals and cut corners. If you have a good company install your alarm, you'll love CSG!!! I don't hide behind an anonymous name! This review is real!
