I have had a contract to install and monitor a house alarm system with this group for five months.

They did not install the alarm system reliably (magnets on both front and back doors are not aligned correctly, resulting in occasional setting off the alarm). As a result, I have already had two false alarms while gone from the house.

Instead of backing up their work, they are asking for a high service call fee.  Further, their agent neglected to explain at the time of installation that the community we live in requires a permit to operate their system. As a result, I am liable to a hefty fine for the police responding to one of the false alarms.

When I called CSG, their receptionist/operator was pleasant but unable to help. She kept referring me to an absent customer service supervisor who never returned the calls. When I finally got through to someone, she was brusque, argumentative and unhelpful. The only option for the contract was for a three year period. Being stuck with these people for three years with no way out is like indentured servitude.

I would under no circumstances recommend this service.
