Me and my wife are currently going through a divorce and along with that a move to a new location along with our 2 year old daughter. We remain close freinds but this is a very hard time for our family.
With that background we have sold our house in the beginning of September and have been attempting to cancel our service with Central Security Group for almost a month now. The usual line once you have said you need to cancel is "Our Service or managers lines are busy right right now can we call you back?" If you say yes then they never call back...wait a week called again and this time got someone in the correct department they said "I will look over your account and once everything is in order ill call you back" BIG suprise no call back.....This last time I spoke with someone that said they were going to email me "Cancellation Request" ...Its been several hours and SUPRISE no cancellation request. I called back again to verify the email had been sent and lo and behold "our lines are busy right now" I told them ill call back in 10 minutes.......Called back and explained what I was going through and she said she would try one more time. She transfered me to a rep that looked up my account information in a matter of 20-30 seconds and told me my contract was in force through June 2009!!!
I informed her that I was not informed of this auto renew feature and her reply was "Read what you sign". I have asked for a copy of my signed contract along with the cancellation letter I am supposed to sign and will have to see if Im on the hook for the remainder and if I am look for any type of recourse that I may be able to take for them not disclosing the renewal.
