Recent Review For Broadview Home Security:
As of June 30, 2009, Brink's Home Security will officially be known as Broadview Security (You can read about the details here: Big changes at Brink's) Like Brink's, Broadview uses a sub-dealer program in areas where they have no corporate presence. This means that a local company will install and service your alarm, and Broadview will monitor it. Therefore the review listed here may not be for or against corporate Broadview, but a completely independent local dealer. If you submit a review, please indicate whether the review is regarding Broadview corporate, the local company who installed your system, or both.

We are Currently an ADT customer, signed an agreement with Broadview on 12-18-09 for installation Jan.11 2010.
Agreement was to convert ADT to Broadview. Agreement was to move 1 key pad and a control panel and use the current contacts from ADT. Before I go father it's worth noting that the specials offered by Broadview is really the old bait and switch trick. The salesmen was a real pro at it, he told me he was a three year veteran and the conversion would be a 3 hour job and that all current equipment would work just fine, other than changing out the main control panel. This is where the bait and switch comes in from the the Tampa-St.Pete Fl. office. The installer shows up and begins to tell me what he can't do. I thought oh boy here we go!
Well the installer gave me 5 reasons why he could'nt move a key pad. Then with no chance to respond to him he moved to the next "no can do part of the deal". At that point his cell phone rings and it's the head of operations, he says, and needs to check the wireless sensors. The installer immediately starts pulling the covers off each one and reading numbers to the ops guy. Well, the install was over at that point because the sensors wouldnt work, and I was to get a call from the sales guy shortly.
So 6 hours later the sales guy calls and says he wants to set up another mtg to review the deal we had both signed already (the first time we met it was a 3hr+ sales pitch). So at that point I wasnt up for that again. He said he understood, and I said, get to the point, why is there an issue? He said, he said he needed to get with his people. I never heard from him again. I call Broadviews HQ, and that was a joke too. So in short be prepared for the bait and switch! Their service and follow up is very unprofessional, including the management in Tampa, St.Pete!
