Recent Review For Broadview Home Security:
As of June 30, 2009, Brink's Home Security will officially be known as Broadview Security (You can read about the details here: Big changes at Brink's) Like Brink's, Broadview uses a sub-dealer program in areas where they have no corporate presence. This means that a local company will install and service your alarm, and Broadview will monitor it. Therefore the review listed here may not be for or against corporate Broadview, but a completely independent local dealer. If you submit a review, please indicate whether the review is regarding Broadview corporate, the local company who installed your system, or both.

We moved from our house that had Broadview Security.
There was a balance of time on our contract, but this would be waived if we used them for service at our new house. We had Broadview come to our home to activate service and Broadview stated that the system the builder put in was not compatible with Broadview and it would be $2500 to install as system! We asked if they could do anything about the price, to which they stated "No".
We provided them with all these details via fax per their instructions to get a waiver and their response - ANOTHER BILL - and a rude person in the billing department.
They said they'd look into it and call us back. Or - Not. They don't call you back. They merely continue to bill!! We are being held to the contract balance. We attempted to use them, but couldn't due to their inability to link to our system. Yet, we must pay. You can't speak to the people who make the decision - they only have a fax number. And an invoicing machine.
Operating in good faith with this company means nothing. If you have any issues, it's your issue and they send you to their collections department who mailed a collection letter to us to our old address. That helps.
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF SOME GRIEF - DON'T USE BROADVIEW.
