As of 10:14 a.m. this day Oct 7, 2008 I canceled my service to Brinks, even though I had 4 months to go. From them, I purchased a Brinks Packaged alarm system that included 15 window screens that were alarmed. This was the system that Brinks Security told the wife and I that we needed.
We had to replace 3 French doors so I called them up to re-alarm them. I also mentioned that we needed 2 screens repaired and 2 new alarm screens installed. Service tech came out and told me Brinks no longer services alarmed screens, in fact he told me to "Read the fine PRINT." We did not receive any notice from Brinks that they no longer service customers screens nor install new alarmed screens. We were not looking for free repair, just that they service what they sold us.
That is not customer service folks, and Brinks will get their 4 months extra out of us, but we will never recommend Brinks to anyone.
The only good thing to say about them is the customer sevice people were very nice. But that does not help when SECURITY is the primary business of the company.
