I set up with Brinks for installation. They said it would be 180.00 for the first 2 months along with purchasing the equipment. They said after I recieve the equipment just call the number inside the box and they would come to install it. Well, I assumed just call the number and they would install for free.
Well, it seems they wanted another 150 for installation. I was very dissappointed with this and told the installer I was not told of this at first and wanted to cancel. They called me a week later to say they would install for free. I still refused because I just felt I was lied to. At that time I returned the equipment via mail. I am so glad I had a confirmation with my package I sent.
After Brinks recieving my equipment I called them for my refund. They said they will not refund because of restocking charges. I am very dissappointed with Brinks. A few days later I told my wife to cancel the credit card I had used to set up the system just to make sure they would not try to make additional charges. Well they did they charged another 44.00 for the first month. Now we are in the process of having the our credit company refunding us for the full amount for fraudulent. But Brinks now say we had a 2 year contract with them.
I am just going to have my own system installed and the heck with all these alarm companies. They are all too expensive. And now with all the high tech stuff I can installed with the system calling me or whomever without all those fraudulent companies.
Anyway be aware of Brinks. I hope this does someone some good.
