More Home Security Resources On Alarm System Reviews.Com:
This Brink's Home Security customer review has been submitted anonymously by a present or former Brink's burglar alarms client. Please note that Brink's uses a sub-dealer program, which usually means that a local company will install and service your alarm, and Brinks will monitor it. So a review listed here may not be for or against corporate Brinks, but a completely independent local dealer. If you submit a review, please indicate whether the review is regarding Brinks corporate, or the local company who installed your system.
NOTE: If you are submitting a Brink's alarm review, please specify the local company that installed it, if applicable.

Recent Review For Brink's Alarms (Con't):
We moved into a new home in mid-2004 and Brink's did the initial installation.
Since then, we had Brink's here 4 times for different problems. Twice, some of the sensors had to be replaced. Once the fire alarm went off and we were away from home so the entire fire department was here before we found out about it. That night we had to disconnect the entire system because the fire alarm kept going off.
Let me say that we pay $3.00 extra every month for repair service. Another time when we had a problem, I took time off from work and waited over 4 hours for the scheduled service and nobody showed up. After complaining to Brink's they were "decent" enough to subtract $5.00 from my monthly payment.
Yesterday, the alarm system quit working. We scheduled another service call for between 8am and 12 noon today and so far nobody has shown up. In the other house, we had Westech (I think they were bought out by ADT) for home security and in 7 years we didn't have one single service call.
Right now, I am ready to tell Brink's to go some place else because I am planning to find another company.
