Re: My Experience with Brinks
The sales guy was here for about two hours. We went over the contract in detail. I was already aware of the automatic renewal clause, and to my surprise, he wasn't! He insisted that I'd be on a month-to-month basis after the contract, and I pointed it out to him what it said. He called his sales manager on the phone and kind of chewed him out for misleading him in training. (Gee, you talked about your college degree, can't you read your own contract?) I didn't know if it was a show or what, and it doesn't matter. What is funny is that my wife's sister is CERTAIN she is on a month-to-month by now; we told her she should call Brinks and find out. We haven't heard back from her yet...
He called out the installer, and he got here at noon. He was here for 7 hours, installing the panel, two keypads, 3 doors, and a motion. No windows. (Windows are extra...) He also didn't try to upsell, which surprised me. He even discouraged me from the window contacts. I think the installer did a good job. He was polite, confident, and paid close attention to detail. He exceeded my expectations. I felt bad for him he was here so long... My wife has been in a good mood today. She's sleeping soundly now.
Overall everything went well and I'm happy so far.
