More Home Security Resources On Alarm System Reviews.Com:
This Brink's Home Security customer review has been submitted anonymously by a present or former Brink's burglar alarms client. Please note that Brink's uses a sub-dealer program, which usually means that a local company will install and service your alarm, and Brinks will monitor it. So a review listed here may not be for or against corporate Brinks, but a completely independent local dealer. If you submit a review, please indicate whether the review is regarding Brinks corporate, or the local company who installed your system.
NOTE: If you are submitting a Brink's alarm review, please specify the local company that installed it, if applicable.

Recent Review For Brink's Alarms (Con't):
II had Brink's in Florida and then moved to West Virginia.
The house we bought in WV had an alarm system (hardwire) installed. We had 5 smoke/fire, 6 door sensor, sliding glass door sensors, window breakage sensors, motion detector. Brink's had a sub come out, and they ripped out the two existing keypads and put in Brink's.
After ripping the pads out, they informed that the fire/smoke detectors were not compatible (2 wire while Brink's need 4 wire), and that several of the hardwire door sensors did not work and that they needed to put in wireless. They wanted an add'l $800. I told them that this is wrong, as they never gave us an upfront estimated, and we allowed them to rip out existing pads assuming everything was compatible.
Now Brink's and the sub are giving us the run around. Question is, are there wireless sensors and smokes that are compatible with Brinks which I can hook up myself (I have done a DYI install years ago). I have a feeling I am screwed here, but having a system with 2 door sensors and 2 keypads operational is defeating the purpose. Brink's says that if I do not use them, they will tag me with a termination charge from the move from FLA.
