Please read this whole story before you do business with them...

Bay Alarm installed an alarm system in our home in June or July of 2004. We paid them cash for the installation, and also cash for 3 years of alarm monitoring up front...literally thousands of dollars. In 2007, when the renewal for services came up, we did not continue with their monthly monitoring. Several months later, almost 4 years after the installation, and after we cancelled their service, Bay Alarm sent us a bill for almost $300.00 for sales taxes on the original installation way back in 2004! The 4 year statute on their legal right to litigate for this expired in 2008 and they know this. Despite the fact that they waited nearly 4 years to bill us, and despite the fact that they have no legal standing to sue us, Bay Alarm has placed this account with a collection agency, which has put it on all of our credit reports, and has and continues to damage our credit. I have spoken with Bay Alarm dozens of times about this, yet they are greedy and want their money no matter what.  I personally belkieve they are just vindictive in their intention to damage our credit. I have called the collection agency, and they refuse to remove the derogatatory mark EVEN IF WE PAY THEM. Bay alarms actions are unlawful and abusive, and they have no right to wait years to make an additional charge on an installation. Moreover, we had an ongoing business relationship with Bay Alarm all of those years...and they had many opportunities to bill us throughout all of those years - yet failed to act in a professional manner and in good faith and fair dealing and use reasonable billing practices.

No reasonable person would pay a 3 1/2 year old bill that comes out of the blue!  would you??

Bay Alarm is now using harassing practices, and destroying our credit (this is the ONLY bad mark we have!) and our reputation just out of their ridiculous GREED!
